Snowfall is expected, as of today, Dec, 05, 2020, on reliefs exceeding 1000 meters of altitude, according to the National Office of Meteorology.
The concerned provinces are: South of Tlemcen, Sidi bel abbès, Nâama, North of El Bayadh, North of Leghouat, Tiaret, Daïda, North of Djelfa, Tissemsilt, Aïn Defla, Blida, Bouira, Tizi-Ouzou, Bejaïa, Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj and M’sila.
Local snowfall amounts will be on the order of 10 to 15 cm.
The bulletin will run till Saturday at 18:00.
The same services have indicated that torrential rains will, also, batter different parts of the country, as of today, according to a special weather report (BMS) issued by the services of the National Office of Meteorology.
The concerned provinces are: Tlemcen, Aïn temouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Sidi bel abbès, Mascara, Relizane, Chlef, Tissemsilt, Aïn Defle, Tipaza, Blida and Algiers.
Rainfall accumulation will vary between 20 and 40 mm and may reach 50 mm locally. Bulletin validity runs till afternoon.
