The Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry unveiled this Saturday, November 28, the new price for PCR tests for coronavirus (covid-19).

In a statement made public today, the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Doctor lotfi benbahmed, said that “the price of PCR tests for coronavirus has fallen to less than 9,000 dinars”.

“As part of the pooling of efforts and resources for the response against covid-19 and in order to improve the accessibility of PCR tests to the general public, a group of private medical analysis laboratories with the support of IMD, company producing PCR sampling kits and reagents, announce a reduction in the price of PCR tests by proposing a public price of 8,900 da ”, indicated the Minister benbahmed.

In this vein, the Minister indicated that “nine (9) leboratories offer this price, located in the provinces of Algiers, Bejaia, Ghardaïa, Tizi-ouzou, stressing that” other leboratories from different regions should join this initiative in the days to come ”.

Remember that the PCR tests are used to confirm infection with the coronavirus, and that their prices were 15,000 dinars, despite the fact that they are not refundable.
