BECHAR – The draft amendment to the Constitution is a “founder of a modern and democratic State”, said, Sunday in Bechar, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Family Work, Mohamed Hamidou.
Speaking during a meeting with civil society at the Maison de la Culture ” Culture House” Mohamed Kadi, as part of the referendum campaign, the minister indicated that “ the draft constitutional amendment is of great interest, because it is the founding act of a modern and democratic state where no citizen will be marginalized ”.
The draft amendment to the Constitution aims “to restore the citizens’ confidence in their institutions, with the aim of strengthening and consolidating the relations between the people and the institutions of the State, in addition to the preservation of the national identity and independent justice to enshrine justice and the principle of equal opportunities, “he added.
“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is determined to build a new Algeria for the Algerian people according to the principle of equal opportunities for all citizens”, assured Mr. Hamidou.
And to stress: “The time has come for citizens to take their destiny in hand to build a new Algeria where everyone has the right to free speech under the guarantees of freedoms of expression, opinion and individual and collective freedoms , which are guaranteed by this draft amendment to the Constitution ”.
Mr. Hamidou also called to go massively on November 1 to the polls to vote on the draft amendment to the Constitution, which constitutes “ one of the most important stages in the contemporary history of Algeria ”.
The Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Family Work, Mohamed Hamidou, will host a similar meeting at the end of the afternoon in Taghit (97 km south of Bechar) and another on Monday in the border town of Béni-Ounif ( 110 km north of Bechar), and this as part of the referendum campaign on the proposed amendment of the Constitution.
