Constitutional revision: Vote, “step towards immunizing country”, Religious Affairs Minister

M’SILA – The Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Youcef Belmehdi, told, on Friday, that the vote in favor of the constitutional revision project scheduled for November 1 constitutes “a step towards the immunization of the country” .

“Algeria has initiated a process of reforms aimed at maintaining stability, starting with the organization of the presidential election, and now the referendum on the draft revision of the Constitution which is part of the reforms decided by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune who had promised a revision of the fundamental law of the country during the first year of his presidential mandate ”, declared Mr. Belmehdi who presided over an awards ceremony to the reciters of the Holy Quran and the Retired Imams in M’sila.

During the meeting organized at the Abdelmadjid Allahoum conference hall of the Mohamed Boudiaf University (M’sila), the minister indicated that “the draft revision of the Constitution constitutes a new departure towards the construction of a new Algeria “, affirming that” the vote in favor of this project will contribute to strengthening security and stability “.

He added that “the constitutional revision project draws its essence from Novembrist principles and tends to preserve social and national cohesion, in addition to enshrining the demands of the popular Hirak”.

Mr. Belmehdi also seized the opportunity to list certain achievements made in his sector, such as the Great Mosque of Algiers, which “is scheduled to open in November”.
