ALGIERS – Mr. El Hachemi Djaaboub, on Friday in Algiers, took up his duties as Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security , replacing Ms. Kaoutar Krikou who held this post as interim.
The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, appointed Wednesday, after consultation with the Prime Minister, Mr. El Hachemi Djaaboub as Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security.
In a speech during the handover ceremony, Mr. Djaaboub highlighted the importance of this sector with regard to the files for which he is responsible that concern several categories of society, including job seekers, workers and retirees.
The Minister, in this regard, called for the coordination of efforts and perseverance to give a new dynamic to the sector and concretize the program of the President of the Republic in this area in the service of the country and the citizens in accordance with the vision of the new Algeria.
For her part, Ms. Krikou praised the efforts made by sector executives at all levels during the short period she spent at the head of the ministry.
