ALGIERS- Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad, on Wednesday issued a series of measures, reducing the lockdown measures linked to the evolution of the health situation related to the Covid-19, said a press release from the Prime Minister’s services.
Thus, 11 provinces are now concerned by the partial lockdown measure instead of 18 previously, while the lockdown measures have been lifted in 10 provinces, in which the health situation has improved significantly. These provinces are Bouira, Tebessa, Médéa, Illizi, Boumerdes, El Tarf, Tindouf, Tipaza, Ain Defla and Relizane.
The Prime Minister also decided to extend the containment measures for 30 days as of October 30th, from 11 PM to 6 AM in eight provinces, namely Bejaia, Blida, Tlemcen, Tizi-Ouzou, Algiers, Jijel, Annaba and Oran.
The provinces of Batna, Sétif and Constantine will be subject to partial lockdown from 11 PM to 6 AM. The measure is applicable for 30 days as October 1st.
In addition, the government has decided to lift the measure prohibiting the circulation of public and private passenger transport during the weekends.
Finally, the measure banning, throughout the national territory, any type of family gatherings, in particular the celebration of weddings and other events has been maintained, concluded the same source.
