Following the announcement of the upcoming signing of a peace and normalization agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel, the FLN quickly issued a press release in which it vigorously denounces’ this alleged peace agreement, considering that this gesture is a blow to the back of the Palestinian cause and a betrayal. ‘
The FLN also said that ‘linking the signing of this sinister agreement to the fact that Israel suspended its program of annexation of the Palestinian territories in the occupied West Bank can in no way exonerate or explain it and this will be written on the disastrous pages of history whose shame will pursue the authors of this agreement until the end of time.
The FLN is also astonished by the silence of the various active parts of the Arab scene, although this agreement is a flagrant violation of the Arab peace agreement which conditions any normalization with the Zionist entity on the withdrawal of all lands annexed since 1967 , which was trampled on by the United Arab Emirates.
The FLN also denounces the grave silence shown by the leaders of the Arab League who should have reminded the United Arab Emirates of the harmful consequences that await them following their exit from what remains of the Arab consensus.
They should also have reiterated their official commitment to the Arab peace plan which was drawn up at the Beirut summit in 2002, even if this plan hardly satisfies the demands of the Arab peoples for the total liberation of Palestine, with El Quds as Palestine capital.
The statement goes on to recall that despite these fearful Arab positions, the FLN reiterates its irremovable positions in support of the Palestinian cause and the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to enjoy an independent state with El Quds as its capital.
The Algerian party also recalls that nothing, neither pressure nor threats will make it bend or change its position regarding the Palestinian cause.
Finally, the FLN also calls on the various Palestinian factions to uphold the best interests of their country and to unite in these difficult times to face the threats and plots against the Palestinian nation.
