ALGIERS- The Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abderrahmane Benbouzid expressed his deep sorrow following the death of Prof. Jean-Paul Grangaud, “one of the great health practitioners who dedicated their lives to Algeria “.
“It is with immense sadness and deep sorrow that I learned of the disappearance of Prof. Jean-Paul Grangaud, one of the great health practitioners who dedicated their life to Algeria,” wrote the minister in his message of condolence.
Recalling the support of the deceased for the National Liberation Revolution and the independence of Algeria, Mr. Benbouzid underlined “the considerable contribution of Professor Jean-Paul Grangaud to the development of the national health system through his work and actions in the field of medicine “.
“His students will never forget everything he gave them as courses and scientific expertise”, added the minister who also noted that “his memory will remain engraved in all the regions and wilayas of Algeria “.
Pr Jean-Paul Grangaud, one of the pillars of public health in Algeria, died Tuesday at the age of 99.
