Constitutional Council: Working session, Wednesday, between Feniche, French expert

ALGIERS – The President of the Constitutional Council, Kamel Feniche, will hold a working session on Wednesday by videoconference with the French constitutional expert, Prof. Dominique Rousseau, as part of international cooperation activities, a Council press release said on Tuesday.

This meeting will take place in the presence of the members of the Constitutional Council, the directors of studies and research from the Center for Constitutional Studies and Research, and administrative executives as well as Mr. Edwin Carrie, deputy representative of the United Nations program for development in Algeria.

The interview will focus on ‘development of a communication strategy aimed at disseminating constitutional culture as well as duplicating best foreign practices in the field, the statement said.

The objective, explained the same source, is to promote the constitutional culture among the Algerian citizen, legal practitioners and the various stakeholders in the realization of the mechanism of the exception of unconstitutionality, enshrined in the article 188 of the Constitution.
