ALGIERS- Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad said, on Saturday in Algiers, that dialogue with socio-economic partners “is a sine qua non for the success of the country’s recovery process in the face of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic” .
During his opening address to the meeting with the social partners and economic operators, aiming to create a safeguard commission responsible for taking charge of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the national economy, Mr. Djerad indicated that the creation of the evaluation commission is part of the process of consultation with the social partners, in accordance with the policy drawn up by the President of the Republic and sanctioned by the Government since the beginning of the health crisis “.
Faced with the multitude of challenges to be met, the Prime Minister considered that “dialogue with the social partners and economic operators remains a sine qua non condition for the success of the country’s recovery process in the face of this crisis, stressing that this legitimate objective could not be achieved without the joint efforts of the public authorities and the social partners in a climate marked by trust, mutual aid and complementarity in the work “.
This meeting comes in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune addressed, during the Council of Ministers held on Sunday, July 12, to the Prime Minister in order to set up and chair a commission of safeguard with the aim of assessing the impact caused by the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) on the national economy, bringing together social partners and economic operators “.
This commission will prepare a report which will be considered on the agenda of the next meeting of the Council of Ministers on July 26, 2020.
