BORDJ BOU – The Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Family Work, Mohamed Hamidou, insisted, Monday in Bordj Bou Arreridj, on the need “to exploit all available capacities” to revive the sector and get out of the dependency on hydrocarbons.
During an inspection visit to this province, the minister affirmed that “Algeria has all the capacities to advance the tourism sector”, stressing on the need to exploit and promote them, like ecotourism, thermal tourism, mountain, Saharan and cultural ones.
According to the minister, we should also pay attention to cultural heritage, dust it off and preserve it for future generations, while working to market handicrafts locally and internationally.
Visiting certain private hotels in the capital of Wilaya, the Minister welcomed the initiative of their owners who made their establishments available to the public authorities as part of the fight against Covid-19, attesting that “the State will not abandon them in their difficult period, accompanying and supporting them to avoid the repercussions of the pandemic. ”
Visiting, moreover, an exhibition organized at the headquarters of the Chamber of Industry and Crafts, Mr. Hamidou, also, praised the efforts made by the craftsmen who make protective masks in their workshops as a contribution to the national effort to fight the coronavirus epidemic, before honoring a number of them.
