Sidi Mhamed court: Ali Haddad sentenced to 18 years in prison

The Sidi Mhamed court has just rendered its verdict in the case involving the former chairman of the forum of business leaders Ali Haddad and several former senior state officials.

Ali Haddad was sentenced to 18 years in prison and a fine of 8 million dinars. The cour, also, decided to seize all the businessman’s property. The other members of the Haddad family involved in this case were sentenced to 4 years in prison, a fine of 8 million dinars with the seizure of all their properties.

The two former prime ministers, Ahmed Ouyahia and Abdelmalek Sellal, were sentenced to 12 years in prison and a million dinars fine.

Amara Benyounes and Boudjemâa Talaï, two former ministers under Bouteflika, were sentenced to 3 years in prison and a fine of 500,000 da. Abdelghani Zaalane was sentenced to the same prison term. Same prison sentence has been given to Oultache Abderrahmane.

Amar Ghoul was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a million dinars fine. Mahdjoub Bedda was sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of 500,000 da. Abdeslam Bouchouareb, also, received 20 years in prison, with the issuance of international arrest warrant against him.
