ALGIERS- The first joint innovation center between the National Agency for the Promotion and Development of Technological Parks (ANPT) and the Chinese company ZTE was opened, on Tuesday, at the Sidi Abdallah Technopark in Algiers, a center that will constitute a starting point for the tests of the launch of the pre-fifth generation technology (Pré 5G) in Algeria.
After inaugurating this innovation center with the Chinese ambassador to Algeria, Li Lianhe, the Minister of Microenterprise, Startups and the Knowledge Economy, Yacine Djeridene, said that this experimental center was ” a technological achievement for Algeria, proving the expectional level of cooperation between the two countries, in general, and between the ANPT and ZTE activating in Algeria in particular “.
The cooperation aims to transfer communication technologies to Algerian students to enable them to better assimilate the fiber optic, internet and telecommunications technology of Prè-5G , he argued.
“This initiative is a model of cooperation to be followed by national companies with foreign companies, based on the transfer of technology and skills training and therefore the creation of more jobs”, he said. added.
According to the explanations provided by its managers, This center will allow startups and project leaders in the future to test their solutions and applications free of charge.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of China in Algeria, Li Lianhe estimated that the Algerian-Chinese cooperation in the field of technological innovation and telecommunications had led to important results, thereby welcoming the results of cooperation between the Chinese company ZTE and the ANPT, which resulted in the creation of a joint center in order to contribute to the development of information and telecommunications technologies.
