El Hadjar complex in Annaba resumes activities

ANNABA- Some 4,000 workers at the Sider El Hadjar complex in Annaba resumed their activities on Monday under strict sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, reported the communication cell of this complex.

In this connection, the same source clarified that “after the exceptional leave of three months, within the framework of the measures taken by the State to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the workers of the Sider complex resumed, Monday, their work with the exception of pregnant women and those with young children, in application of the provisions relating to the second phase of the gradual lifting of confinement and the resumption of economic activities and services “.

In addition to the disinfection of the workers’ means of transport, a total of 50 buses, serving the El Hadjar Annaba, Guelma and El Tarf lines, the company’s medical team is mobilized to ensure regular medical monitoring of all workers who resumed their activities, in accordance with the internal regulations of the Sider complex, added the same source.

Sider El Hadjar employs more than 6,000 workers and has a current production capacity of 2,500 tonnes per day of ferrous metals, concluded the same source.
