Eid al Fitr: President Tebboune receives phone call from Mauritanian counterpart

ALGIERS – The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received, on Thursday, a telephone call from his Mauritanian counterpart, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazwany, who offered him his best wishes on the occasion of Eid El-Fitr, wishing to the Algerian people more progress and prosperity, indicated a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.

“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received, Thursday afternoon, a telephone call from his brother, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazwany, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, who extended his best wishes to him on the Eid El-Fitr occasion, wishing the Algerian people more progress and prosperity,” the statement said.

In turn, and after thanking him, President Tebboune offered his best wishes of good health and happiness to his Mauritanian counterpart, while wishing the brotherly Mauritanian people more progress and prosperity.

On this occasion, “the two Presidents exchanged views and statistics on the health situation in their respective countries, saying they were satisfied with the results obtained in the fight against the spread of the epidemic of coronavirus (Covid-19)”, concluded the press release.
