Coronavirus/ Constantine: Bibs mandatory in commercial spaces

CONSTANTINE- The security services of the province of Constantine implemented, on Saturday, the provincial decree, instituting that the wear of bibs by traders and citizens in commercial spaces and public administrations is mandatory with a view to preventing the spread of the new coronavirus.

The head of the communication cell of this security body, Lieutenant Bilal Benkhelifa, told APS on the sidelines of an awareness and control campaign at the Betou, Boumzo and El Asser markets in downtown Constantine that these actions fall within the framework of a security plan of verification of the implementation of the provincial decree instituting that the wear of bibs by traders and citizens in commercial spaces and public administrations is mandatory with a view to preventing the spread of the new coronavirus.

Any offender will be subject to administrative sanctions, namely closure and legal proceedings for the merchant and fines ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 DA for citizens, he said.

According to the same source, the police closed the entrances and exits of these commercial spaces preventing citizens not wearing bibs from entering them.

The operation coincided with the distribution of 2,000 bibs to citizens and traders by the security services and scouts.

The provincial security services, together with the vocational training and education department, distributed, free of charge, at the end of April, 2000 bibs in the large commercial spaces of the Ali Mendjeli administrative district.
