Zakat Al-Fitr “Alms” fixed at 120 AD per head for Ramadan 2020


Zakat Al-Fitr or “Alms” this year was set at 120 AD per head, announced the Ministry of Religious Affairs, calling to hand over this amount directly to the needy.

The ministry called, in a press release, to hand over Zakat El-Fitr directly to the needy due to the Covid-19 pandemic which led to the closure of mosques across the country, stressing the need to return to Zakat El’Fitrs collection mode in mosques once the pandemic is repelled.

Zakat El-Fitr is compulsory for “any Muslim. Every Muslim must have the financial means to fulfill the Zakat for him and for the people that he’s taking in charge.
