ALGIERS- Algeria “strongly” condemns the terrorist attacks in Nigeria and Chad, which claimed lives of many soldiers and left several others injured, said Wednesday Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif Benali.

“We strongly condemn the terrorist attacks perpetrated by the terrorist group Boko Haram in the Konduga Region in north-eastern Nigeria and in the Lac Province in the south of Chad, killing several soldiers from these two countries,” said Mr. Benali Cherif in a statement to the APS.

“We offer our condolences to the families of the victims, while assuring our brotherly governments and peoples of Nigeria and Chad of our complete solidarity,” he pointed out.

“These new bloody attacks, which come at a time when the whole world is mobilized in the fight against an unprecedented planetary health threat, shed light on the emptiness, the inconsistency and the blindness of the fatal terrorist enterprise, which testifies, through these criminal acts, its desperation and inevitable failure, ” concluded the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
