The National Company for the Marketing of Petroleum Products (Naftal) has started a vast disinfection operation of its facilities including gas stations, said Monday, the company’s communications director, Djamel Cherdoud, while ensuring the availability of the fuel.
“As part of the preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID 19), we have launched a vast operation to disinfect our facilities across the country,” Cherdoud told the APS.
The manager explained that “this operation is carried out at all storage and distribution centers to preserve staff and protect customers and the population”.
Responding to a question on the supply of the market and the availability of petroleum products, notably fuels and butane gas cylinders, Mr. Cherdoud assured that “this operation will not hinder distribution”, reassuring that “Naftal will continue to supply the most normal during this period ”.
In this sense, he explained that Naftal has set up a crisis unit at the central level, as well as others at the regional level, to deal with any problem that may emerge.
