The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received on Wednesday evening a long phone call from his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
“The two sides exchanged information on the global economic crisis and its repercussions on the health situation in the two countries following the spread of the Coronavirus,” said Thursday a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
“President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron discussed common issues related to national memory and the need to speed up their resolution,” the same source added.
According to the Presidency communiqué, “the two men discussed the situation in Libya and the Sahel and agreed to continue consultation and coordination on issues of common concern
During the telephone conversation, the French President reiterated his invitation to the Head of State to visit France and Tebboune promised to go there once the situation improved.
The date of such a visit will be agreed in due time between the two sides.
