ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Thursday, has expressed his thanks to the members of the Algerian community in Saudi Arabia for the “kind words” in their letter sent to him.
“I received with immense joy a letter from our national community established in Saudi Arabia. I am grateful for their kind words towards me and their homeland,” wrote the President of the Republic on his Facebook page, adding: ” I wish them and their families all the best among their Saudi brothers. Thank you again. ”
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his accompanying delegation paid, yesterday, a visit to the Prophet’s mosque in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, where he performed prayers and greeted the Prophet and his companions.
At the venue, the Algerian President was received by senior officials in charge of the ritual site.
Before going to Medina, the President of the Republic met, in Riyadh, with the King Salmane Ben Abdelaziz Al Saoud, who organized an official ceremony and luncheon in the Royal Cabinet in honor of the President Tebboune.
The two leaders discussed ways and means of strengthening bilateral cooperation and concerted action on issues of common interest.
President Tebboune began a state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, where he had talks with the crown prince Emir Mohamed Ben Salmane Ben Abdelaziz Al-Saoud, vice – Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
At Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International airport, the Algerian President was seen off by Prince Saud bin Khaled Al-Faisal, Deputy Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Region, and senior officials.
