Libyan crisis: Algeria’s FM Sabri Boukadoum arrives in Tripoli


Algeria-The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabri Boukadoum, landed in Tripoli, this morning, as part of the efforts exerted by Algeria with a view to resolving the crisis that is shaking Libya.

Upon his arrival, Algerian foreign minister Sabri Boukadoum was greeted by his Libyan counterpart from the Tripoli national government, Ahmed Tahar Sayala.

The tense situation in Libya is of great concern to Algiers, which has experienced intensive diplomatic comings and goings in recent months. Even a delegation from the government of Benghazi pro Haftar was received in Algiers in January.

Several representatives of European chancelleries have visited the Algerian capital recently. Algeria, for its part, participated in the Berlin meeting on Libya. It reiterated its firm position, namely; the peaceful settlement of the Libyan conflict.
