KHENCHELA- Ten (10) films on the Liberation Revolution will be presented on the occasion of the first cinematographic days of Khenchela, scheduled for February 18 to 22, APS learned on Wednesday from the management of the house of culture Ali Souaïhi, organizer of the event.
The holding of this event under the slogan “the liberating revolution in the eyes of Algerian cinema” will coincide with the festivities commemorating the national day of the shahid and will give rise to the screening of old and new films including “The Battle of Algiers” , “Opium and the stick”, “Patrol towards the East”, “Lambèse”, “Colonel Lotfi” and “Mustapha Benboulaïd”, indicated the director of the house of culture, Noureddine Kouider.
As part of the promotion of local culture, films will be presented to the public in several municipalities of the wilaya with the programming of “Zabana” in Tamza on February 19, “The well” in Kaïs on February 20 and “A bridge towards life “in Chechar on February 21, said the same official.
Conferences on national film production and training workshops on scriptwriting, filming and the art of the actor are on the program of these days organized with the support of the National Center for Cinemathography and Audiovisual, indicated Mr. Kouider.
The public will have the opportunity to meet during the event directors including Ahmed Rachedi and actors like Ahmed Benaïssa, Chaouki Bouzid and Hassan Allaoua, said the director of the house of culture who assured that a tribute will be paid to the filmmaker native of Khenchela, Amor Hakkar for his contribution to Algerian cinema.
