Trial in Sidi M’hamed court: Said Bouteflika refuses to respond to questions


The jailed brother of the former Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika appeared in court Saturday as a witness in the graft trial involving the former premiers. However, he refused to respond to questions.

Earlier, the public prosecutor at the Sidi Mhamed court lifted the thirs session, ordering the testimony of Said Bouteflika in the case of financing the campaign for the 5th term of his brother and former President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

The Judge lifted the session until the presence of the former advisor of the President of the Republic Said Bouteflika, incarcerated in Blida prison and sentenced to fifteen years in prison for conspiracy against the state in the company of generals Toufik and Tartag .
