Algeria-The trial of former officials and businessmen involved in corruption cases related to the automobile assembly business resumed today, Saturday, December 07, 2019, at the Tribunal of Sidi M’hamed (Algiers).
The trial of two former prime ministers, Ahmed Ouyahia and Abdelmalek Sellal, as well as several members of their government and businessmen, continues today in the Sidi M’hamed court.
In this aspect, other businessmen and senior officials including the former owner of the group ETRHB Ali Haddad will be heard with respect to the charges related to the financing of the election campaign of candidate Abdelaziz Bouteflika for the 5th term.
Former Prime Ministers Ahmed Ouyahia, Abdelmalek Sellal, former ministers, Abdelghani Zaalane, Youcef Yousfi, Bedda Mahdjoub, the former wali of Boumerdes, Yamina Zerhouni, businessmen Ahcene Maazouz, Hassan Arbaoui, Mohamed Bairi, Sellal’s son, appeared, last Thursday, before the judge.
