Minister of Diaspora and occupied Sahrawi territories, Bashir Mustafa Sayed, on Sunday hailed the leading role played by Saharawi youth in the battle for the liberation of their country.
Speaking at the opening of the third day of the conference, “Sahrawi Youth Training Days”, organized by the League of Sahrawi Students and Youth, Mr. Bashir Sayed said that ” Sahrawi students have played a leading role in literacy campaigns, devoting their efforts, time and knowledge to the national cause.”
The Minister maintained that “Sahrawi students are ambassadors of a just cause, fulfilling a national duty to study and train as professionals, which is another form of struggle and service to the homeland,” asserting that values, noble ideals and national unity are the guarantors of Sahrawi students in their noble mission of building a contemporary society.
Since Friday, Madrid has been hosting the work of the first training sessions for the Sahrawi youth.
In their interventions, all participants reiterated their commitment to the Polisario Front. They also denounced the violations committed by the Moroccan regime against the Saharawi civilian population, demanding that the United Nations fully comply with its settlement plan signed in 1991 by the Polisario Front and the Kingdom of Morocco, so that the Sahrawi people decide freely their future.
On the last day of the Conference, various debates will be devoted to topics of great interest, such as the “Sahrawi National Unity”, the “Sahrawi State and the ideology of the Polisario Front”.
