Iraqi FM on visit to Algiers


ALGIERS- Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim began Thursday afternoon a working visit to Algeria.

Al-Hakim was received by Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum upon his arrival at Algiers International Airport “Houari Boumediène”.

In a statement to the press, the Iraqi Minister described as important “his visit to Algeria as part of the” strengthening of relations “between the two countries, wishing that his visit is crowned with” positive results “.

For his part, Mr. Boukadoum said that this visit was an opportunity to discuss with his Iraqi counterpart several issues of common interest, including bilateral relations and coordination of positions vis-à-vis many issues at the international level “ , recalling that Mr Al-Hakim is currently the President of the Council of Foreign Ministers in the Arab League.
