YOKOHAMA (Japan) – Proceedings of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7) continue through sessions on a range of topics, including investment and human resources.
The program of the second day concluded with a public session on “the development of human resources in African countries”.
The conference concluded with a session devoted to issues of peace and stability, followed by the “Yokohama Declaration”.
The TICAD 7 conference, organized at the initiative of the Japanese government jointly with the UN, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the African Union Commission (AUC) and the World Bank, aims to an international consultation forum for the development of the African continent.
Prime Minister Noureddine Bedoui, who is taking part in this summit in his capacity as representative of the Head of State Abdelkader Bensalah, said that “the constant presence of Algeria at such events (TICAD 7) reflects his desire to hoist the Africa to the level of the aspirations of all Africans “.
Referring to TICAD7, the Prime Minister stressed that such meetings provide an opportunity for Africans to share their ambitions and aspirations for development and progress.
This desire for development has manifested itself through the African Union (AU), Bedoui added, recalling Algeria’s role in the development dynamics of Africa.
