State committed to continue developing, promoting border regions


DEBDAB (Illizi)- The State is determined to continue developing and promoting border regions, Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning Salah Eddine Dahmoune said Monday in the border region of Debdab (Illizi, 1850-km southeast of Algiers).

In the company of a large ministerial delegation, Mr. Dahmoune, who was inspecting the construction of the headquarters of the administrative district of Debdab, said that “the Government has given priority to border areas”, underlining, in this context, the determination of the State to pursue the development of these areas through important programs to be developed on the basis of in-depth scientific studies.

Noting that the delegate wali of Debdab will be “soon” appointed, Mr. Dahmoune announced “the opening of 200 positions in the various sectors at the level of Debdab”.

In the same vein, he explained that the solution to the problem of unemployment lies in development, calling on citizens to accompany the state in the development of border areas.

In addition, the minister inaugurated the headquarters of a border police base and a youth center before visiting the military pavilion at the Public Health Center (EPSP).

The delegation accompanying the Minister of the Interior is composed of the Ministers of Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Tayeb Bouzid, Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Mohammed Miraoui, Water Resources, Ali Hammam and Housing, Urbanism and City, Kamel Beldjoud.

Mr. Dahmoune should lay the cornerstone for the realization of several development projects and the inauguration of other projects in the administrative district of Djanet.
