Gold traffic: 28 gold miners arrested in South by Army

Algeria – Twenty-eight miners were arrested in Djanet, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and In Guezzam, by the National People’s Army, said Saturday, August 17, a statement from the Ministry of National Defense.


“Detachments of the People’s National Army arrested, on 16 August 2019 in Djanet, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and In Guezzam, artisanal miners and seized three off-road vehicles, two motorcycles, eight detonators, generators and jackhammers, while another detachment has apprehended, in Biskra, a smuggler in possession of 1,750 units of tobacco, “said the same release.

In addition, members of the National Gendarmerie intercepted three individuals in possession of four hunting rifles, 2720 bullets and other objects, while 13 illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested in Tlemcen and Tiaret.
