JIJEL- A total of 12 provinces of the country will participate in the cultural event “Jijel welcomes Algeria” which will be open next Wednesday, said, Saturday in Jijel, the director general of the association instigator of the event, “Djawharet El Sahel” (the pearl of the Sahel).
According to Hacene Boutaleb, the purpose of this event to be held at Koutama Beach and will continue until August 8 is to highlight the cultural legacy and marriage traditions of several regions of the country.
Organized in coordination with the local tourist offices and youth institutions as well as the youth and sports department, this event is organized for holidaymakers who can enjoy traditional dishes and the shows presented on this occasion.
Highlighting the history of ancient Cirta, the show “The epic of Constantine” of the association “Bridges of Constantine” will open the festivities on Wednesday and will be followed by other representations of associations from wilayas of El Bayadh, Saida, Mila, Algiers and Ain Defla, concluded the same source.
