Algeria – The investigating judge at the Supreme Court ordered former Minister of Industry, Youcef Yousfi, incarcerated, in Algiers on Wednesday, after hours of questioning for wrongdoing when he was minister during Bouteflika’s era.
The Ex-Minister appeared, this Wednesday morning, before the investigating judge at the Supreme Court, according to judicial sources.
Youcef Yousfi arrived in the Supreme Court shortly before 8:30. He was questioned as part of the investigations relating to the automobile assembly industry. His name is already mentioned in several files, including Global Group and Sovac.
The former Minister of Industry is facing charges related to abuse of office, granting undue benefits to others, squandering the public money and concluding contracts that are contrary to the law.
