“Air Algerie” to soon receive six new aircraft


ALGIERS- Minister of Public Works and Transport Mustapha Kouraba said, on Tuesday in Algiers, that the national airline “Air Algerie” had obtained the approval of the State Participation Council to receive six new aircraft at a cost of $2 billion.

The National Air Algerie Company will be reinforced with six new aircraft, said Kouraba during a plenary session of the Council of the Nation devoted to the examination of the bill amending and completing Law 98-06 of 1998 defining the rules on civil aviation.

Regarding the company’s flight delay indicator, the minister estimated that the latter had recorded “a marked improvement” with a rate of 80% (ie less than 20 minutes), given that the international indicator is 83%. %.

The company currently has an air fleet of 59 aircraft including two cargo, said the minister.
