Algerian-Italian bilateral cooperation discussed

MARSEILLE – Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Boukadoum met, Sunday in Marseille, with his Italian counterpart, Enzo Moavero Milanesi.

The interview took place on the eve of the summit of both shores of the Mediterranean that France organizes  in the Phocaean city.

“We have discussed a number of issues, especially bilateral relations, as you know, Italy is an important partner of Algeria,” Algerian Foreign Minister Aleppo told APS, noting that both parties have examined all areas of cooperation and ways to strengthen it.

“We have also addressed regional issues, including the Libyan crisis, with the aim of coordinating our efforts, with all Libya’s neighbors, to end the armed conflict in this neighbor and brother country.”

For his part, the Italian minister said that relations between Italy and Algeria are “essential”.

“We are both Mediterranean countries, we have millennial and very important links today,” he said, announcing that he will shortly visit Algeria.
