Algeria – Aboud Achour, Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Algeria (BNA), was remanded, on Thursday, June 20 in custody, reported Ennahar TV.
In addition, as President of the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions (Abef), Achour was heard, this morning, by the investigating judge at the court of Sidi M’hamed, Algiers.
The latter decided to place him in pre-trial detention in El Harrach prison, in the south-eastern suburbs of the capital.
In May 2015, Aboud Achour was installed at the head of the BNA. In 2018, he won the presidency of the Abef, after an election held at a general meeting.
