14h session of Algerian-Malian Bilateral Strategic Committee opens in Bamako


BAMAKO- Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum co-chaired Monday in Bamako, with his Malian counterpart Tiébilé Drame, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the 14th session of the Algerian-Malian Bilateral Strategic Committee.

The Algerian-Malian Strategic Bilateral Committee is a mechanism created in 2014 to monitor, evaluate and stimulate the implementation of the commitments made in the framework of bilateral cooperation in all its aspects.

During the meeting, attended by members of the Malian government in charge of the cooperation sectors,” the officials reviewed the state of implementation of the cooperation actions agreed at the last session of the Committee held in May 2018 in Bamako “.

This meeting was also an opportunity to “define new priorities for cooperation to deepen and diversify the bilateral partnership and raise it to the level of excellence of political relations between Algeria and Mali”.

Prior to the high-level meeting of the follow-up committee of the peace and reconciliation accord in Mali that emerged from the Algiers process, this meeting was an opportunity for both sides to “take stock of its implementation in four years following its signature by the Malian parties “.
