ALGIERS – Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum is paying a three-day official visit to Mali at the invitation of Foreign Minister Tiébilé Dramé, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement.
This visit “which is part of the strengthening of relations of friendship, cooperation and good neighborliness uniting Algeria and the Republic of Mali, will allow the two ministers to make a comprehensive assessment of the state of bilateral cooperation and the examination of ways and means to further densify it, “said the same source.
This visit is an opportunity to “strengthen political dialogue through an exchange of views on the situation prevailing in the Sahel region and on regional and international issues of common interest”.
During his stay in Bamako, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will co-chair with his Malian counterpart the work of the 14th session of the Algerian-Malian Strategic Bilateral Committee, the statement pointed out.
Mr. Boukadoum will also chair the high-level meeting of stakeholders of the Mali peace process, which will be preceded by the meeting of members of the international mediation, concluded the Foreign Ministry.
