Algeria – Abdelkader Zoukh, former Governor of Algiers, will appear Sunday, June 16 before the investigating judge at the Supreme Court, Ennahar TV reported on Saturday.
Last Sunday, the former wali appeared before the investigating judge at the Sidi M’hamed court in Algiers. He left the scene after being heard by the judge.
Abdelkader Zoukh and several senior officials were summoned by the courts in mid-May to be heard in various cases. Ahmed Ouyahia and Abdelmalek Sellal, two former prime ministers, have been remanded in custody.
Earlier this morning, Slimane Brahmi, Minister of Justice, stressed, at the installation ceremony of the first president of the Supreme Court Abderrachid Tabi, that the law will be applied to everyone without exception.
