Some Ministries’ prerogatives transferred to local directorates

ALGIERS-The Government decided Wednesday, during a council chaired by Prime Minister Nourredine Bedoui, to transfer some prerogatives of central directorates to local directorates in the field of Housing, Tourism and Environment, said the Prime Minister’s office in a communiqué.

Some prerogatives of central directorates will be transferred to local directorates in the field of Housing, Tourism and Environment, in particular, the granting and the issuance of the urban planning certificate, the granting of the accreditation for the practice of the profession of real estate developer and real estate agent, and the approval of environmental studies of 43 projects.

This measure aims “to bring closer the administration to the citizen, the simplification of the administrative procedures and the establishment of more decentralization within the public administrations”, added the same source.

In this regard, the Prime Minister has highlighted “the positive impact of such a measure on the pace of national development in all areas”, inviting ministers to materialize this decision in four (4) draft executive decrees to be submitted to the Government within 15 days.
