Algeria – An investigating judge of the Supreme Court has been appointed to investigate the case of former members of the government and former prime ministers involved in corruption cases.
Former Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia and former Minister of Public Works and Transport Abdelghani Zaalane have been officially summoned by the investigating judge of the Supreme Court, Ennaher TV has learned from a reliable source. They will be heard today, Wednesday, June 12, as accused.
According to our source, Ahmed Ouyahia and Abdelghani Zaâlane are prosecuted in several cases of corruption and squandering of the public money. They are, thus, the first senior officials to be summoned by the Supreme Court.
As a reminder, Ahmed Ouyahia and Abdelghani Zaâlane were heard by the investigating judge at the Sidi M’hamed court in the case of the oligarchs Ali Haddad and Mahieddine Tahkout.
