Algeria- The Chief of Staff of People’s National Army (ANP), Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaid Salah, called on the Algerians to be vigilant in the face of the threat and strife.
In a speech delivered Tuesday in Ouargla, the Deputy Minister of National Defense urged the people to maintain a “high level of vigilance” in the face of the threats and trust the army to get out of the crisis and prevent it to linger.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister of National Defence said that “holding the presidential election will help avoid the trap of the constitutional vacuum, which would result in risks and deviations with serious consequences. All the Algerian citizens, who are the jealous guardians of the reputation of their country, its interests and place among the community of countries, need to adhere to this crucial approach for the country’s future.”
In this regard, he said that “holding the presidential election will stand in the way of those who try to prolong the crisis. Obviously, the main stage would be to speed up the creation of an independent body in charge of elections organization and monitoring. ”
