Algeria at 2nd International Dates Council in Saudi Arabia


ALGIERS- Algeria will participate in the 2nd meeting of the International Council of Dates which will be held Thursday, in Medina (Saudi Arabia), said, Wednesday, a communiqué of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishing.

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishering, Cherif Omari, will pay a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 15 to 18 May, at the invitation of the Saudi Minister of the Environment, the Water and Agriculture, Abdurrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli.

The main objectives of this Council are to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the fields of production, valorization, processing, quality and marketing of dates at the national, regional and international levels.

The participants in this meeting will also discuss the stimulus measures of the International Council of Dates created in 2013 and the importance of the membership of all the countries producing and importing dates.
