Algeria strongly condemns terrorist attack against church in Burkina Faso


ALGIERS- Algeria has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a church in north-central Burkina Faso on Sunday, the spokesman of the ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif, said Monday.

“We strongly condemn the deadly terrorist attack that targeted the Catholic Church of Dablo in north-central Burkina Faso, Sunday May 12, 2019, killing and wounding many of the faithful,”  said Benali Cherif in a statement.
“Algeria, which has suffered the horrors of terrorism, assures the government and the people of Burkina Faso of its full solidarity, reiterating its strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms,” he added.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this despicable terrorist act, expressing our sympathy for the wounded,” added the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry.
