Algeria-Finland: For conclusion of non- double taxation agreement


ALGIERS – Finance Minister Mohamed Loukal and Finland’s ambassador to Algeria, Tuula Svinhfvud, agreed, on Monday, the need to restart negotiations for the conclusion of a bilateral agreement on non-double taxation, said a statement from ministry.


Addressing the possible actions to be undertaken to strengthen the institutional framework governing bilateral cooperation, during a meeting granted by the Minister to the ambassador who paid him a farewell visit at the end of her mission in Algeria, the two parties ” have retained the need to restart the negotiations on the conclusion of a non-double taxation agreement, “the statement said.

“This  legal instrument is “likely to contribute to offering more guarantees and facilities to investors,” pointed out the same statement.

The meeting was also an opportunity for both sides to review the state of bilateral cooperation and discuss ways and means to further strengthen it.
Ms Svinhfvude expressed her satisfaction with the success of the few partnership operations already undertaken between the economic operators of the two countries,” highlighted the same source.
