2 cement, clinker export operations from port of Oran to West Africa, Cameroon


ORAN – Two simultaneous export operations of gray cement and white Clinker from the Lafarge Cement plant of Oggaz based in Mascara, to West Africa and Cameroon were carried out, Sunday, from the port of Oran, said this group.

This shipment is made up of 15,000 tonnes of gray cement and 5,000 tonnes of white Clinker to West Africa and 25,000 tons of gray clinker to Cameroon, added the company’s statement.

This operation, carried out with the support of the port authorities of Oran, benefits from the commercial and logistic support of “LafargeHolcim Trading”, a world-class structure dedicated to international trade, holding more than 50% of clinker & cement trade around the Mediterranean and Africa.

The group has two cement plants (M’Sila and Oggaz) and a third in Biskra (Cilas) in partnership with the Souakri Group for a total production capacity of 11.5 million tonnes per year.

In Algeria, “LafargeHolcim” employs 4,500 people and is strongly committed to economic, social and environmental development, according to the same source.
