Four Algerian provinces will be hosting the 20th edition of European Cultural Festival in Algeria from May 10 to 27, 2019, according to EU Delegation in Algeria.
These provinces are Algiers, Bejaia, Oran and Tizi Ouzou.
Festival program includes concerts, music, shows, plays and film screenings for a young and adult audience, the same source added.
There will also be master classes, workshops , many other activities and programs for the exchanges and intercultural dialogue between the EU and Algeria.
Placed under the theme “Celebration of living-together”, the 2019 edition will open with a concert of world music led by singer and jazz musician Djamel Laroussi and “the choir of living together”.
Countries like Germany, Sweden, Spain, France, Austria and Portugal offer a program combining traditional music, such as fado, classical music and modern music (jazz, folk-rock, world music ), while Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic have chosen to present films and dance performances.
Organized since 2000 in Algeria, the European Cultural Festival is held simultaneously for the seventh consecutive year in several cities of Algeria besides the capital.
