KUWAIT – Algerian recitalist Ahmed Harkat was honored, on Wednesday in the Kuwaiti capital, after being ranked 2nd at the 10th International Prize for Recitation, Psalmody and Performance of the Holy Quran.
The ceremony of distinction took place at the end of this contest in the presence of the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al Ahmed Al Djaber Al Sabah.
The Algerian reciter (21 years old), who had already won several international awards, achieved an exceptional performance that won the admiration of the jury.
The Algerian association “Al Bayan” for the learning of the Holy Qur’an (El Oued) participated in the exhibition that was organized on the sidelines of this contest.
This distinction reflects the interest granted by Algeria to the Holy Koran and the attachment of Algerians, all categories, to Allah’s Book.
