ALGIERS – The feature film “Timelife”, the latest film by director Hamid Benamra, will participate in the 41st Moscow International Film Festival (Miff), scheduled for April 18-25 in the Russian capital, organizers said.

With a duration of 115mn, “Timelife” released in 2019 attempts to provide answers to a philosophical questioning on how to keep hope alive through poignant experiences immortalized by the director. Actress Stéphanie Benamra and the Syrian director Mohamed Malas participate in this new work.

This film produced by “Nunfilm”, whose filming lasted nearly nine years, is selected out of competition at this festival.

An independent filmmaker, Hamid Benamra, took part in a large number of film events around the world with a batch of films selected at a dozen of festivals.

In 2016, he released “Hizam” also presented in several festivals including those in Cairo, Tetouan and Yalta.
