WASHINGTON (APS)- Deputy Spokesperson of the US department of State, Robert Palladino, said Tuesday that it “is for the Algerian people to decide” on the transition.
Following the resignation of the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the Algerian people must decide” on the transition,” said today the US State Department.
“It is up to the Algerians to decide how to handle this transition in Algeria,” said US foreign affairs spokesman Robert Palladino, just an hour after the announcement of the immediate resignation of the head of state, under the pressure from the street and the army staff.
