Algiers – A cache, containing weapons and ammunition, was discovered, Monday, by a detachment of the National People’s Army (ANP) during a reconnaissance patrol in Tamanrasset, while another cache containing six (6) guns for repeating rifles was found in Ghardaia, said, Tuesday, the Ministry of National Defense in a statement.
In the same context, elements of the National Gendarmerie and National Security “arrested, in Oran (2nd MR), four (4) terrorists’ supporting elements involved in the activities of the terrorist cell dismantled in Oran on 26 March 2019. The search and investigation operation is still ongoing.
Besides, detachments of the ANP “intercepted, in Djanet (4th MR) and In Guezzam (6th MR), (66) miners and seized (82) generators, (22) jackhammers and (3) detectors of metals, while (23) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested in In-Guezzam, Boumerdes and Tlemcen “, also reported the MDN’s press release.
